Information for Feng Shui Practitioner Certification Course
Course Format
All course materials are available in several formats. All are distance education based through the internet and telephone. Generally it will take 3-6 months to complete the program, although students are encouraged to work at their own pace.
- Course material is available in an eBook format that is visually rich with photographs and live internet links.
- A printer-friendly version pdf version is available for you. This is helpful if you are the type of learner who loves to write notes in the margins of their course matierals, and enjoys the feel and experience of the printed page.
- One-on-One telephone sessions with Deborah to discuss course material, ask question and get clarification.
Sections
The Feng Shui Practitioner course is divided into four sections.
- Foundations of Feng Shui
- Feng Shui Colour
- Five Elements and the Bagua Map
- Feng Shui Practical
Section 1: Foundations of Feng Shui I
n this course you will get a firm foundation for understanding the foundation of feng shui which are the basic building blocks of feng shui. This includes the history of Feng Shui with an emphasis on it as a continuing, living art. You will also learn:
- The foundation principles of Ch’i and Yin and Yang.
- Form School Feng Shui which involves finding the optimal positions for both inside and the exterior of builings, including the layouts, shapes, proportions, and design features which enhance the flow of Ch’i.
- Remedies used to balance and create harmonious energy: what ‘cures’ to use, when to use them and why they work.

Section 2: Feng Shui Colour
Since colour choice often figures so prominently in feng shui consultations, and it is one of the quickest ways to shift energy in a home or office. Section 2 is an exploration of the different ways in which colour is used in feng shui.
In this course you will get a firm foundation for beginning and expanding your colour expertise.
You’ll learn about:
- Colour properties and the effects they have on us, both emotionally and physically.
- Colour as it is pertains to the Bagua Map and the Five Elements.
- How to create colour palettes and move colour around a room.
- Techniques that will give you insightful recommendations for colour schemes your client may not have thought of.
- How to balance different colour vibration needs for people living in the same household.

Section 3: Five Elements and the Bagua Map
In Five Elements and the Bagua Map, you will learn how to use the Bagua Map and Five Elements together as a powerful tool to create energy shifts. You will learn:
- The Bagua Map origins.
- The Bagua Map flow of energy.
- A deep exploration of each of the 9 areas of the bagua map.
- The Five Element cycles, when to use which one and the effects of each.
- The energy behind each of the Five Elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water, including the corresponding body systems and emotions, and how these merge into the trigrams of the bagua.
- How to make five elemement adjustments that are personalized to the client.

Section 4: Feng Shui Practical
Put it all together to do feng shui consultations from intake, the assessment, recommendations and enhancements and follow-up. You will be required to do three feng shui evaluations and submit written reports (if doing consultations by distance:
- A feng shui consultation that establishes your knowledge and application using the Form School.
- A feng shui consultation demonstrating proficiency using Colour and feng shui theory.
- A feng shui consultation using the principles of the Bagua Map and Five Elements.
